About us -
Political Science Department was established in 1993 and started Under Graduate Courses. It has one of the significant study centers of Political Science in the jurisdiction of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It always shows a positive attitude in organizing study events for the students and teachers to make them aware of the new changes happening in the discipline of Political Science and Public Administration. Through the rigorous teaching of the prescribed syllabus, the department has always organized innovative initiations. For that every year we organize study visits to Local Self-Government. Celebrates special days as Teacher’s Day, National Integrity Day, Constitution Day, Voter’s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Democracy Fortnight, etc., organizes Wallpaper Presentations, organizes Guest Lectures, conducts Debates, and Group discussions. These are extracurricular activities being held for effective learning with Co-Curricular Activities. Along with regular methods, we use ICT tools for an effective learning process.

To impart cognitive excellence, introduce advance technology, skills to prepare the youth for future challenges and to promote equity and equality in the students to create worthy citizens.
Mission:
The institute aspires to empower the rural youth to stand in global and competitive world and to breed potential excellence through it.
Objectives: -
To inform the students of the recent trends in Political Science.
To enable students to understand the rights and duties of the citizens.
To develop an inter-disciplinary and comprehensive understanding of political reality among students.
Future Plans:
To start PG courses for Political Science and Public Administration.
To start skill development courses.
